SUBTLE DIFFERENCES ON THE MOON

This cartoon is strictly humor and meant to be. The idea for this came up from the concept of “what would it be like if there were people sort of like us on the Moon?”. This one got started by my father (sort of). The big deal for a kid like me in a Catholic grade school was not that my Dad could draw Jesus and the Christian celebrities very well; it was that he could draw Mighty Mouse to perfection! He drew Mighty Mouse on my pencil case when I was in 1st grade and it was a “you gotta see it” for all my male classmates. Mighty Mouse was in flight mode. When the Mighty Mouse pencil case went to tatters, I begged and pleaded -- doing a way ahead of time Bart Simpson -– “Come on, Dad, can you draw it – just one time – just one more time?” From time to time, while using this approach, I would get the vaulted eyebrow stare from my mother. This would mean I’d better stop. I never found out why. Maybe it had to do with Dad recently returning from WW II after shooting at his cousins. In any event, poor Mighty never returned.
